Ryan Goodman
Connected Digital Twins Team Lead
Ryan is experienced in open innovation methodologies, data-driven innovation and programme management. He took the role of Connected Digital Twins Team Lead in June 2022.
Ryan previously managed the Living Labs project at Connected Places Catapult, developing an innovation framework for the Homes for Healthy Ageing programme to deliver innovation as a service, and ‘Real-World Testing’ for industry.
Additionally, Ryan worked in Operations Lead and Programme Manager during his time at the Open Data Institute (ODI). These roles gave him the opportunity to deliver highly successful projects, including an EU funded programme supporting nearly 50 companies across the UK and EU to access data through data sharing approaches, and a community platform funded by SportEngland, increasing discoverability of physical activity for all generations. -
Daniel Block
Product Manager, Digital Twin Hub
Daniel’s experience in web development and platform management brought him to the Digital Twin Hub team at the Centre for Digital Built Britain in 2021. He transferred to Connected Places Catapult with the project in April 2022.
Previously, Daniel spent 13 years working for his own web design company, creating, and developing bespoke websites for a wide range of SMEs, community projects and the NHS. He then moved to an educational software company, working with education providers, and developing learning resources. This led to Daniel writing, creating, and publishing his own 2 textbooks, which are sold and used in schools and colleges around the world.
Daniel also worked as team leader at one of the largest supported learning departments in the UK, at Cambridge Regional College and is director for a local not-for-profit organisation, working on heritage and tourism projects. -
Catherine Condie
Communications Manager, Digital Twin Hub
Catherine has over 30 years’ experience as a marketing and communications specialist in the innovation sector. She joined Connected Places Catapult in 2022, transferring with the DT Hub from Cambridge University's Centre for Digital Built Britain.
Catherine previously scoped communications strategy for TWI, and alongside developed cross-company programmes for corporate reputation, external engagement and ESG. From 2012-2015, she led PR and engagement for a major site development programme, together with its opening by HRH The Princess Royal. She also managed communications for BEIS and EU technology transfer programmes.
Catherine chaired the marketing and communications group at AIRTO until 2021, is an adviser on STEM education committees and was awarded the STEM Ambassador Medal by the Worshipful Company of Armourers and Brasiers. She is the author of two books for children. -
John Holden
Community Manager, Digital Twin Hub
John has experience in law and international and community relations. He joined Connected Places Catapult and the Digital Twin Hub team as their Community Manager in August 2022.
John previously worked as a community development lead for a London based charity. As the lead, he drove user growth, relationship development and assisted the organisation in driving their expansion.
John additionally served as an attorney in the US where he specialised in international law. As an attorney, he was Of Counsel and Consultant for the United States Heartland China Association, where he focused on international legality issues and building relationships between US and Chinese organisations. He also operated as a community activist having worked within his local community in his home state, Missouri, USA.
